How to Verify Authentic ELO Hardware
Partager
Checking Serial and Model Numbers
Every ELO display and Backpack includes a label with serial number and model ID.
Go to the ELO verification page or contact official distributors to confirm authenticity.
Valid numbers return a manufacturing record with model details and warranty start date.
Packaging and Build Quality
Authentic packaging includes holographic security seals, printed regulatory marks, and full documentation.
Fakes often show blurred logos or mismatched fonts. Check screw types and casing finish—genuine units use high-grade aluminum or reinforced plastic, never thin uncoated steel.
Firmware and Software Verification
ELOView automatically registers genuine devices. Units that fail registration or display missing firmware version fields may not be authentic.
Install ELO’s Device Info app to check firmware signatures.
Supplier Validation
Purchase only from authorized distributors or resellers listed on ELO’s website.
For bulk imports, request serial lists in advance to cross-verify.
Example
A systems integrator discovered that 15 displays from an unverified supplier would not register in ELOView. After investigation, they were found to be unauthorized clones lacking certification. Verification before installation avoided warranty issues and data exposure.
Reporting Suspicious Products
If any device lacks a verifiable serial or shows physical inconsistencies, report immediately through ELO’s support portal. Include photos and purchase receipts for traceability.
Final Thoughts
Authenticity ensures performance, safety, and warranty validity. Verify serials and firmware registration for every order to protect your installations from hidden risks.
